OIB class of 2008

Here are is a summary of the results of the Baccalaureate 2008:

25 students received Mention Très Bien!!
28 Mention Bien
23 Mention Assez Bien
8 Admis (2 of which went into the "2eme tour" but got through.
2 absent

Although we have not had a winner at the Concours Generale in English for about 7 or 8 years,

this year, we have TWO winners in English getting both a Mention Tres Bien at the Baccalaureat.

OIB class of 2006

Congratulations to the OIB Class of 2006 !

100% successfully obtained the Baccalaureate and are presently continuing

their studies at university or in the selective Prépa CPGE program.

Almost 40% of the class were accepted into the demanding CPGE programme -

Classes Préparatoires aux Grandes Ecoles:

• 4 in CPGE Sciences Economiques et Sociales(HEC),  Nice, CIV, Lyon
• 11 in CPGE Scientifiques: MPSI, PCSI, BCPST, Nice, CIV, Lyon, Paris
• 5 in CPGE Littéraires, in Paris, Nice and Toulouse
• 1 in CPGE Sciences Politiques
• 1 INSA Rennes, Ecole d'Ingénieur avec Prépa Intégré
• 1 Prépa Arts Visuels in Paris

• 2 students were accepted directly into Sciences Po, IEP Paris
• 1 student was accepted at Sciences Po, IEP Paris "sur concours" in Sept.

About 25% planned to enter French universities in Paris, Nice, Lyon,

Lille and Aix en Provence:

• 11 Faculté de Médecine 1 Faculté de Sciences, Nice
• 1 Faculté de Lettres, Lille 1 Faculté de Psychologie, Nice
• 1 Faculté de Droit, Aix en Provence
• 1 Faculté de Sciences Economiques, Paris IX - Dauphine
• 2 Ecole d'Architecture ˆ Paris ou Lyon

Another 15% planned to study in other French schools:

• 1 EDHEC Nice 1 ESRA, Nice
• 1 IUT Sophia Antipolis 1 BTS Audiovisuel, Angouleme
• 2 EAI Tech ˆ Sophia Antipolis 1 BTS Biotechnologie
• 1 ILEC, Nice 1 Arts Visuels, Villa Arson Nice

About 22% were accepted at British, Irish, American, Canadian or European

universities:

• 1 in the U.S.A. - University of Iowa
• 7 in Canada: 5 at University of McGill, 2 at Concordia
• 5 in Great Britain and Ireland at:

               - Cambridge University, Clare College, Social & Political Science

               - University College London, Biology

               - LCC - London

               - Bath Spa University, Music Production

               - Trinity College Dublin, Ireland

• 1 in Switzerland - Ecole Hotelière de Lausanne
• 1 in Italy - Bocconi University, Milan, Int. Management
• 1 in Belgium - Art Schoolin Brussels
